Today on style.com i saw a short peice on paisley, i got excited because this is one of my favorite patterns. I also really like the whole feel of this outfit they featured. i especially love the muted earthy colors with the cobalt blue peeking through.

I started looking on google at pictures of paisley and i realized what it reminds me of: paramecium. what is paramecium? I vaguely remember them from biology, i think it's some kind of water-dwelling parasite type thing. Yeah, not really helping ,huh? Well, here's a picture:

I think you can see the resemblence.

I saw these shoes a while back at Macy's and since i kept thinking about them I decided to go back and purchase them. I'm really glad i didn't buy them when i first saw them because when i went back for them they were more than 50% off! I've recently noticed that the cheaper i get something the more i like it. It makes me feel like it's more special in a way. Or maybe just because i hate spending money...yeah, that's probably it.

This is the sort of thing that makes my day: seeing art in an everyday item such as a vehicle.
I'm not sure who the owner of this van is, but i see it around town all the time. now i want to paint my car with awesome hedgehogs and hamster-boys...i mean, if i had one...(sigh) almost 17 and no licence. how lame am I?

P.S. i'm not exactly sure how to put pictures where i want them. sorry for the odd placement.

welcome! i suppose an introduction is in order. im eleanor, soon to be high school senior, cosmetologist-in-training, and i have a lot of random interests and things i want to talk about. i love reading fashion and style blogs and oftentimes find myself wishing that bloggers would discuss certain things, so i've taken it into my own hands. so although this isn't exactly a fashion blog, and rather a "me" blog (ah, how narcissistic!) i might talk about it a bit. so hopefully, enjoy!
